During the early 50s, the Jordanian government granted Baptist missionaries the approval to start its NGO with educational, scientific, medical, and spiritual goals. The agreement allows Baptists to buy lands, build their own properties, and develop other good initiatives in Jordan. The Baptist Hospital was the first to be registered and was later named the Ajloun Baptist Hospital.

In 1938, Dr Charles McLean's and his thoughtful wife, decided to start their mission in the medical sector in Jordan. They decided to start a hospital called Gilead Hospital.

The hospital consisted of two wings that had a total of 27 beds, and 16 employees. In 1951, the McLean's faced a financial shortage so they offered the hospital to local Baptists to serve the people in northern Jordan.

On the 15th of June 1952, Gilead Hospital was renamed the Ajloun Baptist Hospital and was managed by local Baptists.

On the 5th of July 1974, the Ajloun Baptist Hospital celebrated the opening of its new building honored by the presence of His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal. In 1987, the Ajloun Baptist Hospital was sold to the Jordanian Ministry of Health and they changed the name to The Hospital of Faith in honor of the great faith they saw in Christians who established it and worked in it.

As for the rest of the hospital property, it was converted into the Ajloun Baptist Conference Center in 1988 and managed jointly by the Jordan Baptist Society and Jordanian Baptists. It was developed and renovated to accommodate different Baptist meetings and conferences as well as other evangelical Christian meetings. In 1994, the Jordan Baptist Society gave all the property to Jordanian Baptists who have developed the Center to its current status.
